 Competency Goal 1 to ascertain and Maintain a Safe, Healthy Learning Enviroment Composition


Candidate offers a safe environment to prevent and minimize injuries.

While looking after infants and toddlers my goal is to provide a secure environment for exploration using safety plans and types of procedures. Throughout the day most spaces happen to be checked to get hazards and kept free from clutter to prevent problems during an emergency. All their environment should be inspected pertaining to choking problems. A daily program is maintained to ensure the inside and outdoor play areas are free of hazardous exposures. A Daily indoor/outdoor checklist contact form is completed two times daily to document room conditions. Like a caregiver you have to provide children with a perception of security through words and phrases and actions, which encourage exploration and support developing growth. A major factor should be to assure that most infant age groups are supervised by eyesight and audio to ensure liability at all times. A great adult-infant rate 1: four must be managed and documented on the " We Treatment Sheet” every 15-30 mins. All rooms in the center maintain a primary aid kit that is checked out daily and stocked as needed. Current medical exceptional needs documents are published and medication utilized for allergic reactions will be attached to the first aid package. I've been trained in First Aid, CPR and was also a qualified EMT-Emergency Medical Technician. Each of our room has a evacuation diagram posted for fire completely and all staff are qualified on crisis evacuation techniques. Our middle works strongly with the DLA Fire Section which provides regular monthly fire drills to ensure founded procedures will be being implemented. The month to month drills permit the opportunity for babies to become knowledgeable about the process. Being a caregiver it is critical to provide an environment where infants can feel protected coming from harm and may grow.
